Issue(s):
- When jogging, the A-axis is not moving the expected amount
Resolution:
Firmware Settings
If you have the Closed Loop Vortex, make sure you are in 4th Axis mode. If you have the Open Loop Vortex, make sure you are in Rotary mode.
Click console and input or copy/paste the following exactly, $103=79.012345679, then click RUN. Write this number down incase the settings have been changed back to default.
- Power OFF and ON the controller, then re-connect back to gSender
- Go to Config / Firmware Tool and confirm the setting $103 Resolution has been updated. It should appear as below.
DIP Switches
If the above does not solve his issue, check that the DIP switches (for closed loop Vortex) are set to:
1-ON, 2-ON, 3-ON, 4-OFF, 5-ON
If $103 is correct, DIP switches are correct, and you send a command through the console (like A360 for 360 degree rotation), and it still isn't moving accurately, you may have a motor with faulty microstepping. A replacement would be needed.
