Alarm Code |
Message |
Description |
Solution |
1 |
Hard Limit |
Hard limit has been triggered. Machine position is likely lost due to sudden halt. Re-homing is highly recommended.
2 |
Soft Limit |
Soft limit alarm. G-code motion target exceeds machine travel. Machine position retained. Alarm may be safely unlocked.
3 |
Abort During Cycle |
Reset while in motion. Machine position is likely lost due to sudden halt. Re-homing is highly recommended. |
- This is an expected alarm, often appearing when hitting the stop button when running a toolpath - Otherwise may be due to issuing g-code commands that exceed the travel limit of the machine |
4 |
Probe Fail |
Probe fail. Probe is not in the expected initial state before starting probe cycle when G38.2 and G38.3 is not triggered and G38.4 and G38.5 is triggered. The bit is making contact with the touch plate unexpectedly, or the probe circuit is continuously closed. |
|
5 |
Probe Fail |
Probe fail. Probe did not contact the workpiece within the programmed travel for G38.2 and G38.4. |
- The bit is too far away, move the bit closer to the touch plate. |

Homing Fail |
Homing fail. The active homing cycle was reset. | Alarm 6 Article |
7 |
Homing Fail |
Homing fail. Safety door was opened during homing cycle. | Safety Door Article |
8 |
Homing Fail |
Pull off travel failed to clear limit switch. Try increasing pull-off setting or check wiring. The machine is within the limit switche's range when it tries to move away. |
Video (old, gSender 1.4.X) |
9 |
Homing Fail |
Could not find limit switch within search distances. Try increasing max travel, decreasing pull-off distance, or check wiring. |
- The limit switch wasn’t triggered in the distances expected. If your machine is moving away from the limit switch when homing, change the firmware setting homing direction invert ($23) for the affected axes |
10 |
E-stop Asserted |
EStop asserted. Clear and reset. Press and untwist your E-stop. If the machine was moving, it's a motor fault alarm. Otherwise it's an E-stop issue. |

11 |
Homing Required |
Homing required. Execute homing command ($H) to continue. | Home the machine before proceeding. |
12 |
Limit Switch Engaged |
Limit switch engaged. Clear before continuing. | A limit switch is on or off when it’s not supposed to, check if you’ve triggered them accidentally or you set them up the wrong way. |
13 |
Probe Protection |
Probe protection triggered. Clear before continuing.
14 |
Spindle timeout |
Spindle at speed timeout. Clear before continuing. The spindle couldn't get up to speed in the time, as defined in the firmware settings |

Homing Fail |
Homing fail. Could not find second limit switch for auto squared axis within search distances. Try increasing max travel, decreasing pull-off distance, or check wiring. | Alarm 15 Article |
